Green Room/Staff Den Staff

Responsibilities: Working together with a team to stock the Green Room/Staff Den, keep the area clean, and provide friendly assistance to guests, panelists, and staff as needed.  You will be provided with PPE as needed. Early morning (7am) and late shifts available.

Guest Handler

Primary responsibilities are to see to the needs of the guest they are working with, maintain good communication between the guest and the Con, and do so calmly and efficiently. The Guest Handlers report to the Guest of Honor (GOH) Liaison. The Guest Handler works with many other areas of convention (including Programming, Events, Masquerade, Art Show, etc.

Information Desk Staff

Information Desk Staff will answer questions, give directions, distribute handouts if needed, and escalate questions
and/or concerns to the relevant area when necessary. Volunteers are expected to have some knowledge of Arisia, and a calm and/or positive demeanor when
interacting with the public. Prior customer service experience is a plus but, not required.

Line Management Shift Leads

Responsibilities:
Pre-con planning and scheduling of Line Management staff
At-con managing and coordinating of Line Management staff and volunteers
Real-time triage of problems to fix any long lines or delays that may occur
Various tasks as directed by Line Management Senior Staff

Load-In Volunteers

Load In takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday before con. Wednesday’s work is at the NESFA club house in Somerville, Massachusetts and will probably only take a few hours. It involves packing things into a truck so they can go to the hotel.

Main Stage Area Head

The Main Stage Area Head is in charge of most Main Stage events (stage plays, shadowcasts, on stage dance performances etc.). Some of the event runners from previous years have been contacted and a rough schedule has been made.
