Arisia will once again have our Arisians of Color Safer Space (AoCSS), a  racial affinity space for self-identified Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) to gather, as part of Arisia’s commitment to social justice and inclusivity. We thank longtime community member Opeyemi Parham for running the AoCSS this year in a cozy lounge space. The AoCSS will be available throughout the weekend as a safe space for renewal, unstructured conversations, and collaboration.  This space is a retreat for BIPOC convention participants only. We ask that this boundary be respected by white Arisians. Please be mindful of the ways you demonstrate curiosity or share opinions about this affinity space. Food and snack offerings will be different this year. As mentioned before, the Con Suite will have snacks and drinks and will be the designated space for people to take their masks off to eat. In order to reduce germ transmission, we are focusing on having a variety of individually wrapped snacks, individual pieces of fruit, and single serving drinks. 

We will be having Nerf wars for children and adults. If you want to participate in the nerf wars, bring your blasters!  The event runner has a few, but you definitely want to come prepared if you can. 

We still have room for more volunteers. In particular, our Incident Response Team (IRT) is looking for people. The IRT staff are available throughout the convention to take reports of concerning incidents from attendees.
