Main Stage Build Crew

Arisia Tech is seeking people to help with the setup of our main stage. Tasks range from setting up drapery dividers to running power cables, to setting up theatrical lights.

Main Stage Lighting Design Staff

Arisia’s Main Stage provides a venue for plays, concerts, and (of course) the Masquerade.

Masquerade Lighting Designer

Arisia’s Masquerade is usually our largest event. Design of the lighting for each entry is made during the rehearsal process - providing up to 40 opportunities for creating mood.

Typically, the designer will run lighting for the Masquerade show itself. Pre-con coordination with the Main Stage Lighting Designer will ensure that an appropriate palette of possibilities is provided.

Ops Desk Volunteers

This person will staff the Ops Desk, providing information and things like blue tape for convention staffers. Must be able to answer phone and take notes. Ability to use a computer and printer desired.
This job is at-con only, in short shifts (between 2 and 4 hours long). We'll train!

Program A/V Technicians

Are you the person in your family who sets up the electronics and assembles the IKEA furniture? Arisia’s Programming rooms host readings and panels of all descriptions. Tech supports this content with sound and projection systems.

Program Nexus Manager

Arisia Programming is looking for someone to serve in a supervisory role in the Program Nexus. The Manager will work with the Programming Division Heads to oversee the smooth operation of tasks by Nexus Staff.

Program Nexus Staff

Arisia Programming is looking to fill several at-con positions in the Program Nexus to help ensure that panels, workshops, meetups and presentations run smoothly at-con. Program Nexus Staff assist the Programming Division Heads and Track Managers with tasks performed primarily within the Program Nexus Room.

Quartermaster

Requirements: Quartermaster will coordinate with the Food Team prior to the con to provide food for the Con Suite.  This person will be purchasing and transporting large quantities of goods for the Food areas.

Quiet Room Area Head

Responsibilities:
Coordinating room setup needs with Arisia Hotel staff prior to convention, (already in process for 2022)
Verifying correct room setup at con
Coordinating and scheduling of Quiet Room staff
Opening and/or closing Quiet Room or delegating open/close duties to Quiet Room staff
Monitoring Quiet Room space during shift
